About

Graduate SWE hosts a variety of events and opportunities tailored to the needs of graduate students. Our primary goals are to share our research and enable collaboration across engineering departments, to foster a welcoming community of women in STEM at Stanford, and to provide mentorship and other tools to succeed for our members.

Research Roundtables

Our women in STEM Research Roundtable Series is thanks to a VPGE SPICE grant! Every month we serve delicious lunch and hear presentations from fellow engineers on topics ranging from their graduate research to public speaking.

April 19th, May 10th and May 31st, 12-1pm
Blume Center Library

Community

GradSwe hosts a variety of fun, low commitment community-building activities. At our weekly brown bag lunches, we provide goodies to complement your lunch and conversation about the weekend and upcoming events. We also host a quarterly wine-and-coloring de-stressing event, as well as hiking, brunch, and attending Stanford Asha Holi!

Brown Bag Lunches: Mondays, 12pm

Mentorship

We work closely with the Graduate Professional and Peer Advising (GP2A) program. GP2A provides students with a great opportunity to network with others, take part in a structured peer advising session, and gain valuable information while having lunch at the faculty club.

The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 academic year has passed.
